Located in the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains, Trabuco Canyon has a healthy mixture of residential living and the rugged outdoors. It’s because of this that the inhabitants enjoy their daily adventures so much.
Trabuco Canyon is home to O’Neill Regional Park which has coast live oak and sycamore trees in the heavily wooded 4,500 acres, as well as cactus, wild buckwheat, and mountain mahogany on the hillsides. Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park also resides in Trabuco Canyon, and boasts 2,500 acres of rolling hills, sage scrub, and is home to the popular Red Rock Canyon.
Although it still has the feel of a small town, Trabuco Canyon has a major attraction, other than the great hiking trails, which gets people in town from all over the county. The Trabuco Oaks Steakhouse is a huge hit with everyone, and it happens to have been one of former President Richard Nixon’s favorite places to eat in the nation.
With great food, incredible hiking trails, and friendly neighbors, everyone is blown away by this humble town. If you haven’t seen the properties here yet, it should be at the top of your to do list.
